I would highly recommend Down to Earth. They have done lots of work for me , from complete clear ups after the winter season to hedges trimmed to perfection and grass cutting. Lovely company to deal with and always leave my garden spotless. He was so easy to deal with and had great ideas for improvement of certain areas which need attention. Our Residents Association have engaged Down 2 Earth since May 2011 to maintain the green areas on our estate. "I contacted Down 2 Earth when an injury prevented me from maintaining my garden. My problem now is that my wife says that he does a much better job than I do. I find Down 2 Earth to be very professional, reliable and a man that takes pride in his work. He always arrives on time, and works with both speed and precision. He is particularly skilled at trimming and shaping garden hedges and cleans up meticulously after cutting. Before mowing, he carefully prepares the edges of the lawns with a strimmer. I also noticed that he alternates the cutting direction and patterns when using the lawnmower, to avoid wheel tracks in the lawn and encourage uniform grass growth. The average person mowing a lawn would not go to such bother and I hadn't even asked him to do this. He is so concerned at providing a professional service that he did it anyway.  I have no hesitation in recommending Down 2 Earth to anyone in need of a garden guru. "

"Almost six years ago, we asked Down 2 Earth to design & transform our front & rear wild grass virgin plot of land into a maintenance free garden and to incorporate in it, the garden furniture from our previous house.

We found Down 2 Earth to be very approachable at the design stage; indeed it took a few meetings between us before we agreed on a design that suited our plans & pocket.  ( excuse the pun, but we needed sound advice to bring us, *Down 2 Earth* ).

As soon as digging commenced, he quickly realised that the plot needed draining.  They would rather cancel the contract than continue without draining it.  We agreed a new price.  To this day, despite a constant deluge of rain at times, not one puddle of water has formed.

Parts of the design layout were changed as the design developed.  He was very receptive to any changes we suggested but more important was the sound advice he gave us, both in design and cost saving ideas.

They are in it for the long haul, promptly returning to fix any little gremlins and are still giving us advice on plant care.

Since the initial contract they have returned to us several times for additional non connected work; always returning phone calls and arriving on schedule.

"The only reservation I have for doing this is to say I am concerned that he will become too busy to do any future work for us! He has been one of the most pleasant tradesman I have ever had to do work for us. To use a cliché he "does what he says on the bottle". He is very reliable and arrived for work when he said he would, he works very tidily and always leaves the site clean and tidy as possible. When he had to leave the drive with a trench dug out (drainage) overnight, he made sure it was taped off with cones and tape so that we could not accidentally fall in it. The work was completed when he said it would be. Can't say enough about Down 2 Earth really. He does great work, has great ideas, is very tidy and has a great understanding of what suits a person. He did some really lovely raised beds for us really easy to maintain. But I must say maintaining hedges are his forte, he is like a barber at work, perfect every time.
